Coordinator Report

CHILDREN DEPARTMENT REPORT

Week one Report for site

Day 1-monday

Had around 35 kids all non adventists

They were really psyched up and eager to learn from us..we learnt two songs and that days lesson and also did the activities..

Day 2

We had the number increase from the previous day UpTo around 45 kids all non adventists

While playing they broke one the chairs which we were using to play a certain games.

Day 3

The turn up was smaller around 25 kids came all non adventists..they were few it being Christmas day

Day 4

Kids turned up to around 50 in  number,,we learnt and did crafts and games

Day 5

Had around 50 kids,,we learnt and had fun games

So far no visitations to their homes yet

Observations

All kids are non adventists

Most of the kids moreso from primary class take miraa

Challenges

Language barrier though not that much

Have no good place to learn ie. We teach the kids at the same place for open air and they easily get distracted and teachers really strain to communicate in the noise

The lesson is too difficult for the smaller kids

There were no enough activity copies

Recommendations

Next time when choosing places for the sites consider a good place conducive for the kids to learn too

Consider providing enough activities for the kids or allocate some funds to print when need arises

Week two

We had average of around 50 kids everyday, we divide them into 2 classes ie those for lower primary and upper where I handled the small ones and teacher Carlton the big ones.

For tuesday and Thursday I was unwell and didn't mange to hold the class but I was represented by other teachers in the site and the kids responded well to them.

We had a party on Friday after our normal classes and we gifted the consistent kids special rewards and the rest we also appreciated them.

On  sabbath we had a large number of kids join us from other nearby SDA churches and it was really a success.

Observations

We came to realize that most kids are violent because they are exposed to domestic violence and it really affects them psychologically,,they could easily open up to us since we were friendly and appreciated them..

In the sabbath school we established there is no children's teacher and I'm worried about their spiritual growth.

LITERATURE REPORT.
Introduction
Praise be to God for the success of Literature evangelism. The role of the evangelism is to
provide literature materials to both the missionaries and most especially the targeted people. The
enrolment of the guides was good and special thanks to the AUSAA fraternity for the providence
of the guides. We provided devotional (pdf) and discover guides (pdf) to keep the mission spirit
burning.

Statistics
A total of 25 people enrolled for the guides, 18 of them enrolled to the discover guides  which
focused on Daniel and revelation.
Discussion
Most people who enrolled in the guides showed zeal to learn more and wrote prayer requests and
pleas in the study guides. All apart from one were youths and so it was a good show to see
youths zealous for the word of God.

CHALLENGES AND PROPOSED SOLUTIONS
CHALLENGES
Cooperation with group leader was a challenge.
Late arrival of study guides.
Language barrier.
Lies on commitment.
Refusal from parents.
Inconsistency.

RECOMMENDATION.
1. Request interest coordinators to sensitive on literature reporting from behind the report
book.
2. Evaluation of the mentee before issuing the guides.
3. Early arrival of study guide.
4. Identify local language for the grownups.
5. Advice the children before parents interference.
